CATERHAM THREE NATIONS CUP
2022 CATERHAM THREE NATIONS CUP
A new addition to our 2022 Championships, the Three Nations Cup is created especially for drivers that cannot commit to a full racing season, but also allowing season regulars to compete (with a twist), providing a new challenge within Caterham Motorsport.
- Guests drivers (those registering for individual events rather than the whole season), will score points towards the Cup at the relevant rounds.
- Here’s the twist: Full season drivers will also score points, unless they bag a podium at one of the Cup rounds, at which point they take themselves out of the running!
Because our guest drivers generally have less time to practice and race (which is why they are guesting), so hitting the very front of the field is a big ask. By removing regulars that podium, we think the playing field for the Cup is levelled. Maybe it’s a best-of-the-rest; but we like to think of it as an opportunity to reward those track-battles that often provide the very best racing.
Three Nations Cup rounds:
- Silverstone GP
(Best six of eight results for Seven 270R and Seven 310R drivers – which is why it’s three nations, not four…)
