HALFORDS ANNOUCED AS CATERHAM OFFICIAL TOOL PARTNER

For those who know us well, you’ll know that motorsport is at the centre of everything we do.  So we’re immensely proud to announce that the team at Halfords will be joining our ever-growing racing family as our Official Tool Partner.

Providing Halfords Advanced precision hand tools to our team of Race Technicians, they’ll be supporting all our official racing championships.  What does that look like in numbers? Well…

  • Five manufacturer backed championships
  • Over 100 cars and drivers at every weekend
  • Team of 20 Caterham Race Technicians to keep drivers on circuit
  • Over 40 individual races during the course of a season

Our range of factory backed championships is the largest in the UK, from the unparalleled Caterham Academy (which has created over 1,000 new racing drivers) through to the top-level Caterham Seven Championship UK; now a nationally recognised series.

Along the way, the majority of cars benefit from the unique trackside support that only we provide; there to keep people racing the whole weekend, whether they have a minor bump, or spirited smack, or something that for other race series and cars would normally be weekend-ending.

Hannah Coupland, Halfords hand tool expert says, “This partnership brings together two iconic British brands with nearly 200 years of combined heritage. We’re proud to be supporting Caterham’s team and working with their engineers and technicians to test our Advanced tools to the limit.”

Our CEO, Graham Macdonald said, “The trackside support we have on offer has become a key unique selling point for Caterham Motorsport and something admired by other championships.  It’s made possible by the nature of the car and the skill of our technicians, but this would be nothing without dependable, quality tools in which our guys have ultimate faith.  That’s why we are so delighted to be supported by Halfords.

“Often working under extreme time pressure to turn around race cars, techs want to be assured that they have the right tools and can, quite literally sometimes, lean on them to get the job done without additional drama.  Halfords Advanced gives us this piece of mind”

Caterham’s Race Technicians will be providing ongoing feedback about Halfords' new range of Advanced Hand Tools – further informing their design and development.
