Mr JWW confirms Motorsport Academy Partner for 2020

We are very excited to announce that Mr JWW, one of Britain’s most influential influencers, will be our official Motorsport Caterham Academy media partner in 2020.

James William Walker (Mr JWW) is a supercar lifestyle influencer who has amassed a social media following of more than 1 million across YouTube, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

The YouTube star will document the series across all of his channels and bring to life the process of getting his coveted race license, to receiving tuition on handling, to covering all the thrills and spills of an Academy race weekend.

Caterham’s Academy series is open only to complete racing novices and represents the first rung on Caterham’s domestic motorsport ‘ladder’. Mr JWW will soon be one of more than 1200 brand new racing drivers created since the Academy began in 1995, competing in the six-race season kicking off at Aintree in April.

“Having had my first experience in Caterham only a few months ago I knew as soon as this opportunity came up that it was one I couldn’t refuse,” said Mr JWW.

“I have driven some of the most incredible cars on the planet but never had the opportunity to compete in a full race series. I’m really excited that I’m going to be able to share my experiences of learning how to become a professional racing driver with my audience.”

Mr JWW launched his channel in 2015 to showcase his collection of supercars. Since then he has gone on to drive some of the most expensive and luxurious supercars on the planet while his video content has been viewed nearly 100 million times. In September he was announced in Britain’s top 100 influencers, coming in 44th position.

Caterham Chief Motorsport and Technical Officer, Simon Lambert, said: “This is the first time we have worked with a YouTuber to showcase the Academy series. We’re really looking forward to working with someone of James’ stature and influence in the automotive world and are excited to see him document with his fans the journey to becoming a professional racing driver.”
