Registration for 2020 Motorsport Championships
REGISTRATION FOR THE 2020 CATERHAM MOTORSPORT SEASON OPENS MONDAY 18 NOVEMBER.
It's that time of year again - we've released the calendar for the 2020 season and it is now time to register. We are excited to announce that early registration for the 2020 Motorsport season will open on Monday 18 November.
Caterham Motorsport is the biggest series of factory-backed championships in the UK with over 200 drivers taking part every year across 5 championships. More than 1000 drivers have started their racing careers in the Caterham Academy which is most successful novice driver championship in Europe.
As ever, the 2020 calendar reflects a mix of the firm favourites, plus visits to those circuits that are less frequently experienced and a layout, but not venue, that will be new to nearly all.
After last year’s success, we will once again be starting the year with the unique Team Enduro event, which doubles up as practice for the opening round of the year, both being held on the Silverstone International circuit running from the F1 Wing complex. In the summer we venture back to Knockhill, but this time to race the ‘right’ way round; fifteen years since Caterham’s last did this. Later in the year we are back at Thruxton following its thrilling return to the Caterham roster in 2018 and finally there’s a welcome return to the overwhelmingly more popular National layout at Donington for our Championship Finale.
But the highlight of the year will be as the first UK Championship to visit to the newly revamped Zandvoort GP circuit, home of the 2020 Formula One Dutch Grand Prix. We are promised that the circuit changes will improve the flow of the track (and the paddock), whilst barrier changes should make it more mistake-friendly too! We’re certainly very excited to be returning to this favourite of many.
Registration forms will be made available soon and sent out to existing teams and drivers over email. If you are a new driver interested in joining one of Caterham Motorsports exciting championships you should contact Championship Coordinator Sam Fleet to discuss availability.
